All booking fees are non refundable. The booking fee is taken to secure your date and buy ingredients /materials in advance , as work on your cake starts well in advance of collection date.
Cakes must be paid for in full, in advance. Cakes remain the property of Kerry Harvey Cake Designs, until paid for in full. Cakes over the value of £100 must be paid for in full, one week prior to collection date. Cakes under £100 to be paid for, in full, 4 days prior to collection/delivery. Failing to do so will result in your cake not being made.
Short notice bookings will require full payment at point of booking. Short notice is within 2 weeks to collection date.
Some dates book out well in advance. In some cases you may be asked to pay in full, if availability is very limited for your date and we have a number of enquiries all for the same date. This means your cake is then booked and the availability has been given to you.
Any cancellations within 7 days of collection date are to be paid for in full, as work will have started on your order and the space reserved for you. No refunds will be offered.
Wedding cakes must be paid for in full, no less than two months prior to your delivery/collection date, as per wedding agreement. Failure to do so may result in your cake not being made or details reduced due to time restrictions.
Colour is subjective and all efforts will be made to match colour as close, within reason.
The agreed collection date is the date the cake will be ready and not before. Any changes to this date are up to the discretion of the manager. There may be a charge to alter the collection date.
Models are sold as non edible, as contain non edible supports and wires. Models are not for consumption under any circumstances.
Hot weather affects cake decoration and materials. Every effort is made to avoid this, but due to unpredictable weather, it is out of our control. Some designs may have to be altered to suit and this decision will be made by us, in your best interest.
In hot weather, store your cake in the coolest room possible, until it is required. Keep away from windows.
Allergen advice is given on all cake boxes. Allergens must be declared and discussed at booking. It is your responsibility to read this information and pass on to your guests and venue. For wedding cakes, this information will also be left with your venue.
All complaints must be raised with 24 hours of collection. Cakes/ models must be returned for inspection by the manager. Without goods being returned, we are unable to make an assessment and will not be able to help.
Transport cakes with extreme care. They must be secure, kept flat and upright. Do not transport on a car seat. Turn off any direct heater fans, as these may cause your cake to melt. In hot weather we recommend using aircon, if possible . Do not store your cake in a car, in any weather conditions . Failure to follow this advice will result in damage to your cake. Once collected, cakes are your responsibility. Any damage caused will result in extra costs and at our discretion, if we are able to repair.
